PWDE Contrail Photo
As I looked to the Northeast while shooting the Sundog, I noticed a contrail off in the distance almost approaching head on. I noticed that the contrail trailing the aircraft appeared to be "little white puffs" even at a distance. The aircraft appeared to be approaching very fast and I watched it as it made its way to the Tucson area.

As the craft approached Tucson, it turned and seemed to accelerate. I could not see the aircraft other than that it looked black, but it was too far away to tell for sure. As it turned South, I noticed the "beads on a string" pattern! My heart started to beat faster as I knew I might be observing a PWDE propelled aircraft, quite possibly the Aurora! So I shot the pictures that are posted on this page. All photographs were taken with my Kodak Cameo Camera using ASA 400 speed American Brand color print film.
