About Fortean Slips

Welcome to Fortean Slips, ParaScope's wild and wacky outpost on the paranormal fringe!

In the tradition of Charles Fort (1874-1932), patron saint of all things paranormal, it's our mission to shed light on bits of real-life weirdness that others might wrongly ignore. But where Fort recorded his "damned data" (phenomena rejected by science) with objective detachment, let there be no mistake about the ulterior motives at work here: Fortean Slips is just out for a good laugh.

Aside from the awful pun, its title could describe a number of things. Brief dispatches from the most ludicrous reaches of the paranormal news front. Strangeness that insinuates itself into the mainstream and the mundane like a mistakenly blurted remark. And koo-koo, krazy reports on those heirs of Fort's legacy who in one way or another may have... slipped.

I'm D. Trull, Enigma Editor and your tour guide on the backroads of the hyper-mega-paranormal. If you're looking for serious journalism, turn away now. Everything you'll read here is true, but those without a sense of humor may find it a rocky trip.

Fortean Slips welcomes your participation. If you have any comments, questions, complaints or contributions, please send 'em to me. As Fort wrote, "One measures a circle, beginning anywhere."

I invite you to do the same with Fortean Slips. We've got a big damned circle of weird stuff ahead of us!
