Jeff Randall believes
white supremacist
Andreas Strassmeir
may have attended
the Roundup.

The Other Side of
the Looking Glass

The Good O' Boys Roundup may have ended, but the Gadsden Minutemen are continuing their independent investigation via CopWatch, a new organization founded by Jeff Randall and Mike Kemp (email: CopWatch@aol.com). Using confidential sources inside the government, they are working to prove allegations that an associate of Gene Rightmyer, along with other Good O' Boys attendees, was engaged in firearms trafficking to Mexico.

CopWatch has also obtained information which may prove that Andreas Strassmeir, an avowed white supremacist with connections to the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, may have attended the Good O' Boys Roundup. Coincidentally enough, Strassmeir travelled to Mexico shortly after the Oklahoma City bombing. CopWatch is attempting to link Strassmeir to BATF control. Randall believes the Feds may have readily admitted to the racism "to cover for the major illegal acts that were taking place" at the Roundup.

It is worth noting that DOJ Inspector General Michael Bromwich's major claim to fame is his failed attempt to prosecute Oliver North on charges related to the Iran-Contra scandal. Another BATF agent, Joe Miedzianowski, is currently in hot water for dealing machine guns, silencers and cocaine to Chicago street gangs. "We have pictures that may also place him at the GOB Roundup," Randall stated in a June, 1996 CopWatch news release.

Add in the recent revelations by the San Jose Mercury News that the CIA-linked drug dealers used money from narcotics sales to Los Angeles street gangs to fund the illegal, covert Contra operations, and what have you got? Some awfully fishy goings-on in the hallowed halls of the federal government.

CopWatch's latest allegations await positive substantiation. But remember, these were the folks who brought the Good O' Boys Roundup to light in the first place. Perhaps the DOJ will take the charges a little more seriously this time around. If anything, the story of the Roundup shows that in the face of a resistant law enforcement apparatus with a media propaganda machine at its disposal, citizen activists can still do a great deal to fight -- using non-violent tactics -- for justice.
